The Foundation of Eydhafushi Youth Linkage (FEYLI), a recipient of the Bank Fund grant, has successfully established a Vocational Training Lab and launched a Digital Studio at B. Atoll Education Centre, aimed at strengthening students’ practical skills and creative capacities.
The newly developed facilities include two dedicated classrooms designed to enhance employability through hands-on learning and access to modern equipment.
The Digital Studio is fully equipped with professional-grade digital cameras and a complete production setup. The centre will offer structured training programmes in photography, videography and digital content creation, providing students with opportunities to develop skills relevant to today’s digital economy.
As part of the project, FEYLI also upgraded the school’s Vocational Training Lab. This includes the introduction of a Carpentry Section fitted with essential hand tools, battery-powered equipment and safety gear. In addition, a Tailoring Section has been established, equipped with sewing machines and materials necessary for garment production.
Training programmes are also planned to ensure students can effectively utilise the vocational lab, further supporting skill development and career readiness.
Bank Fund is the bank’s annual grant initiative that supports registered non-governmental organisations in implementing community-focused projects across the Maldives. Selected NGOs receive funding of up to MVR 200,000 to initiate and complete their projects.
