Ooredoo Maldives’s fintech arm has introduced a new cashback promotion through its mobile wallet service, mFaisaa, offering customers added value on fuel purchases.
Under the limited-time offer, customers who spend MVR 50 on petrol using mFaisaa will receive MVR 20 cashback directly to their wallet. The promotion is available at fuel sheds operated by Fuel Supplies Maldives and Hawks in Malé and Hulhumalé.
The offer comes at a time when rising fuel prices continue to impact daily living costs. Ooredoo said the initiative is aimed at easing the burden of essential expenses by providing customers with tangible savings—effectively covering the cost of an additional litre of petrol.
Customers can access the benefit by paying with mFaisaa at any participating fuel shed. Once the transaction is completed, the cashback is automatically credited to the user’s mFaisaa wallet.
Ooredoo has outlined a simple process for customers to begin using the service:
Download or open the Ooredoo Maldives app
Select mFaisaa and complete registration
Verify identity:
Maldivians must submit a valid national ID (both sides)
Foreign nationals must provide a passport and valid work permit
Set up a secure mPIN
The company said the initiative reflects its ongoing efforts to strengthen digital financial services in the Maldives, offering customers convenient and secure payment options while delivering practical everyday benefits.
Ooredoo encouraged customers to take advantage of the promotion and experience the ease of cashless payments through mFaisaa.
