Velana International Airport (VIA) has reopened its west side parking area, which had been closed since July during the opening of the new international terminal.
The closure was
initially implemented to accommodate the inauguration of VIA’s new terminal,
with Maldives Airports Company Limited (MACL) describing it as temporary.
Despite the terminal opening, the parking area remained closed for nearly two
months.
Sources say the
west side parking has now been reopened under a temporary arrangement made
through a separate agreement, restoring convenient access for passengers and
visitors.
The reopening
comes as a relief for travelers, helping to ease congestion and provide more
options for airport parking.
