Employees of Bank of Maldives have come together this Ramadan to support vulnerable families, contributing to an initiative led by ARC Aid to provide essential items to those most in need.
Through the staff-led donation drive, more than 100 essential packs were distributed to families across the country, directly benefiting households with over 200 children. The initiative focused particularly on families caring for children with special needs and single mothers, groups often facing added financial and social challenges during the holy month.
ARC Aid’s Ramadan programme aims to ease the burden on vulnerable households by ensuring access to basic necessities. With the support of BML employees, families received carefully prepared packs containing essential items to help them manage daily needs during Ramadan.
The contribution reflects a continued culture of giving within the Bank. Each year during Ramadan, BML staff voluntarily extend support to community organisations working on the ground. Last year, employees supported MOMS Aid, while ARC Aid has also received assistance from the Bank in previous years.
The annual effort underscores the spirit of compassion and solidarity that defines Ramadan, with employees choosing to make a direct impact in the lives of families navigating hardship.
