Former Deputy CEO of IGMH, Mohamed Rishwan, has been appointed as the Managing Director of Maldives Ports Limited (MPL).
In a social
media post, the Privatization Board announced that Rishwan has been appointed
as both the Managing Director and a Board Director of MPL.
The position
became vacant following the dismissal of former Managing Director Mohamed
Wajeeh Ibrahim on Sunday night.
Rishwan
previously served as the Deputy CEO of IGMH during the administration of former
President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom. Before that, he held the position of
Deputy Commissioner of Police, which he resigned from in July 2011. Since
leaving IGMH, Rishwan has been working independently for the past several
years.
