The Maldives Monetary Authority has extended the deadline for organizations to submit expressions of interest to participate in the Maldives Financial Expo 2026. The new closing date is 6 June 2026.
The expo is scheduled to run from 2 to 4 July 2026. The venue is Central Park in Male'.
The MMA announced the extension through the expo's official social media channels. No reason was given for the extension.
The Maldives Financial Expo 2026 gathers financial service providers in one location. The event is designed to raise public financial literacy and give institutions a platform to introduce new services and programs to the public.
This year's edition is expected to feature new product and service launches from participating financial institutions. MMA has previously held the Financial Expo twice before.
The expo has also expanded beyond traditional financial audiences this year. MMA has opened a Souvenir Design and Artwork Competition as part of the wider expo program, inviting designers and artists to submit creative concepts using shredded banknotes.
The Financial Expo serves as one of the MMA's key public engagement events. The central bank uses the platform to connect Maldivians with financial institutions and to promote awareness of personal finance management.
Organizations wishing to participate as exhibitors have until 6 June 2026 to submit their expressions of interest through official MMA channels.
