Mohamed Shaamy Adam has been reinstated as Chairman of the Road Development Corporation (RDC), less than five months after his removal from the post.
RDC confirmed
the appointment on Thursday through its official social media channels,
congratulating Shaamy on his return to the leadership of the state-owned
company.
Shaamy was
previously dismissed from the position on 28 April by the Privatisation and
Corporatisation Board (PCB), as part of a broader restructuring of company
boards. At the time, he was also removed from the board of the SME Development
Finance Corporation (SDFC).
The leadership
of RDC has undergone several changes in recent months. Former Managing Director
Ahmed Zuhair was transferred to the Housing Development Corporation (HDC),
while Ibrahim Nazim was appointed as Managing Director of RDC on 30 July.
With Shaamy’s
reappointment, RDC’s top leadership sees yet another shift as the company
continues its role in spearheading road infrastructure projects across the
country.
