Ooredoo Maldives has struck a partnership with Google Cloud
to offer Google Workspace to local small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and
larger organizations. The collaboration aims to enhance digital infrastructure
by providing a suite of productivity and collaboration tools with local billing
and support.
Google Workspace includes apps such as Gmail, Drive, Docs,
Sheets, Slides, Calendar, and Meet, enabling more seamless communication, file
sharing, and virtual collaboration. The offering is intended to boost
efficiency while ensuring data security and compliance.
Ooredoo will provide flexible Workspace packages tailored to
business needs and full local subscription management. The company says this
will simplify adoption and support for Maldivian organizations.
Khalid Al-Hamadi, CEO of Ooredoo Maldives, said the
initiative is part of the company’s mission to empower local businesses in a
digital economy. “By bringing world-class tools like Google Workspace to our
customers, we are transforming how organizations work by enabling smarter
collaboration, greater efficiency, and stronger connectivity,” he said.
Ooredoo Business Chief Rajesh Mehta added that this move
will help SMEs, startups, and enterprises reimagine their operations and adapt
to digital transformation with local support backing the global tools.
