The Maldives Association of HR Professionals (MAHRP) has signed a strategic partnership agreement with Great Place to Work Sri Lanka, in a move aimed at strengthening workplace culture and human capital development in the Maldives.
The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed during the 6th National HR Convention & EXPO 2026 held in Malé on Sunday. The agreement was formalised by Kshanika Ratnayaka, Chief Executive Officer of Great Place to Work Sri Lanka, and Ahmed Ibrahim, President of MAHRP.
The partnership seeks to bring global workplace standards and best practices to Maldivian organisations, with a focus on improving organisational culture, leadership, and employee experience.
Under the agreement, both organisations will collaborate to share research and insights on workplace culture, promote employee engagement and leadership excellence, and deliver joint training and development programmes. The partnership will also facilitate participation in regional and international conferences and explore broader opportunities to enhance human capital capabilities.
Speaking at the signing, Ratnayaka said the collaboration would help extend Great Place to Work’s global mission to the Maldives, supporting organisations in building high-trust, high-performance workplaces.
Ahmed Ibrahim said the partnership aligns with MAHRP’s goal of introducing international best practices to the Maldives and enabling organisations to build stronger workplace cultures.
As part of the collaboration, MAHRP is also expected to take part in the Great Place to Work Sri Lanka Conference scheduled for September 2026.
MAHRP is the leading professional body focused on advancing the HR profession in the Maldives, while Great Place to Work Sri Lanka is part of a global network known for its expertise in workplace culture, employee experience, and leadership development.
