Visit Maldives has participated in a networking event in Beijing as part of the high-level Maldivian visit to China.
The corporation joined government representatives, industry partners, and other key stakeholders at the event. According to Visit Maldives, the aim was to deepen collaboration, strengthen trade relationships, and showcase the country's tourism offerings.
The engagement is part of the ongoing official visit to China. The visit brings together senior government officials and state-linked tourism companies to expand the Maldives' presence in one of its largest source markets.
Visit Maldives said the event forms part of wider efforts to sustain tourism growth and reinforce market confidence. The corporation said it also aims to further strengthen the Maldives' position in China.
The Beijing engagement follows the delegation's departure for China earlier this month. The trip also includes visits to Shanghai and Chengdu, with meetings planned with Chinese government officials, airlines, tour operators, and travel agents.
China remains one of the largest source markets for Maldives tourism. Ministry of Tourism figures show Chinese arrivals have risen this year compared with the same period in 2025.
